Finally completed an Illustration Friday prompt! An ink study of a safety pin and practice using the Live Paint Bucket tool in Adobe Illustrator CC (thanks to Jeremy Mura's tutorial). Not exactly what I was looking for, but the pages are blank and I got to support a local small business. Tonight is the deadline for “Time Travel.” I developed the idea a bit more. This iteration will be 2/3 in color: the large person and pencil drawing the timeline (representing the present), and the items to left (representing the past). The time traveling mini person that goes back in time, to erase regrets, will be faint and in gray and white, as will the future hopes and dreams, and the future traveler.
Aiming to redraw it cleaner and digitally color it in Illustrator tonight. Getting in the habit of carrying a sketchbook with me everywhere I go. Went for a family hike today and began a sketch of my son holding two sticks he’d found. He finished the drawing later at lunchtime by adding his head.
